Ratna Rabari
Ratna came from Balasar village in Bela Vandh, a remote island, close to the Rann of Kutch. A shepherd’s son, his world was consumed with the 100 odd sheep and goats that he herded as a 17 year old. He was a reluctant entrant into the course, looking distinctly unhappy in the company of other young people, preferring the struggles and solitude of his migratory journeys, which he slowly began seeing afresh through his camera.
